This is a significant cultural and political moment where a revolutionary effort has succeeded in the face of tremendous opposition. This is Jupiter/Uranus at its best!
So what will the next few weeks hold for us as Jupiter closes in on the exact opposition of Uranus by Christmas and the New Year?
Here's a few things to watch for:
* As the opposition moves closer to exact, Mercury is moving into its shadow period, will begin slowing down, and will station to turn retrograde near the solstice, nearly conjunct with Pluto, and just as the electoral college meets to confirm the presidency. This may be nothing more than an interesting coincidence, but it's worth keeping our eye on.
* Personally, the Mercury retrograde in the midst of this revolutionary process may indicate the revision, revisiting, delaying, or renegotiating of a plan or proposal, a project or system or organization, a message or structure of some kind. It's also possible that information may come to light that is shocking, inspiring, and as transformational and revolutionary as it is unexpected.
* In the next week the Sun will conjoin Saturn and we will also see the theme of death, endings, expiration dates, or the end of a cycle and the beginning of something new. Each year when the Sun conjoins Saturn it is as though we are seeing things for what they are rather than what we wish they were or can't stand to accept. The Saturn/Sun conjunction is also indicative of the start or foundation of a new creative enterprise or the start of a new sense of direction or purpose...when we are faced with certain limitations or barriers, we often get very clear about where we ought to go next. Since Jupiter/Uranus and Pluto are in a t-square right now, it's likely that these circumstances are all related to a pretty powerful season of liberation, breakthroughs, inspiration, and progress (but not without the resistance and tension of the opposition or the depth, power and darkness of Pluto).
This is easily one of the most dynamic and exciting times of the year, and it's safe to say that some of the most exciting and interesting moments are definitely still in front of us this moon cycle. Tomorrow the Moon will enter the bondage of the first quarter, which should bring a series of significant developments, challenges, and compromises into the total efforts of this revolutionary season.
Prayer: as one year closes and another begins, help us to see the spirit of revolution just as naturally as all the heavenly bodies revolving in their places, each singing the songs they were created to sing.
