But let's face it, any chance we can get to say the word "eclipse" as astrologers is exciting. That 2% isn't lost on us...no sir...and we will predictably write our columns about yuuuuge energy shifts. But aren't we getting energy shifted to death sometimes? Isn't a normal full moon exciting enough for us? Do we really need to squeeze another high level energy porthole out of this 2% mentioned above?
Anyway, here's what to watch for!
* The Full Moon is happening in Saturn's sign, while Mars and Saturn are conjoining in Sagittarius. This Full Moon features the idea of hard work, competition, dedication, goal setting, and strategic moves designed to move the ball down the field faster or more efficiently.
* It's interesting to note that while Mars and Saturn are conjoining in Sagittarius, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter are co-present in Virgo, with Mercury about to conjoin Jupiter by degree. Whatever efforts, work, and discipline we're using to elevate our game right now, these efforts may include new relationships, important negotiations, reorganization or refocusing efforts, or an attempt to salvage or restore something that is being, or has been, contested, picked apart, or in disarray.
* The fact that this full Moon is happening in Saturn's sign and Saturn and Mars are square to Neptune also suggests the glamour or idealization of strength, hardness, vigor, and aggression. But is it all its cracked up to be? Are we using these hard ass images to hide an insecurity or weakness?
* We should also be careful of bottom lining things right now. The Mars/Saturn/Neptune square also has the power to simplify or reduce things until incredibly complicated things suddenly seem black and white. The desire to be anesthetized to the complexities of the world we live in is a temptation we all face from time to time, and right now this temptation is particularly appealing to us as it is appearing through channels of anger and philosophical or political or religious intensity.
Bottom lining things, even when we're 70% right, still marginalizes 30% of someone or something else. Lest we forget that right now we might only have 2% of a lunar eclipse, but many astrologers are happy to bottom line that number and talk about TOTAL transformation...
Prayer: Help us recognize the divinity in a world that is just as frequently "partial" as it is "total."
